New York, NY — (September 8, 2025)Futuro Media is proud to announce that LOUD: The History of Reggaeton, the groundbreaking limited-series hosted by La Diva, La Potra, La Caballota, the Queen of Reggaeton herself, Ivy Queen, will once again be available to stream in full starting September 15, exclusively on Spotify.

First released in 2021, LOUD traces the genre’s evolution from its Black Panamanian roots and the influence of the Panama Canal, to the reggae and dancehall scenes of Brooklyn, to the underground clubs of Puerto Rico and beyond.

Across its episodes, listeners will hear the untold stories of how reggaeton came to life: the rise of The Noise, the impact of Puerto Rico’s “mano dura” policies on the genre, Senator Velda González’s campaign against reggaeton, the making of “Oye Mi Canto,” and the height of Héctor “El Father’s” reign.

Through it all, Ivy Queen guides audiences with the authority and perspective of someone who lived the genre’s history—and helped shape it.

In its original release, LOUD earned widespread critical acclaim. TIME praised the series for its “joy and defiance, combined with rich historical details and impressive access to first-person sources.” The New York Times called it “a podcast that chips away at reggaeton’s canon… It forces us to listen to reggaeton with complexity—as much complexity as the music and its history hold in the first place.”

In 2025, as reggaeton dominates the global charts, LOUD provides crucial context for how the genre’s roots paved the way for household names like Bad Bunny, Karol G, J Balvin, Maluma, Nicky Jam, and Ozuna, to name a few.

As part of the relaunch, Futuro Media will host an exclusive behind-the-scenes virtual event on Tuesday, September 23. This will offer fans a closer look at the making and never before told stories of LOUD. The conversation will be hosted by Marlon Bishop and will feature LOUD producers Jeanne Montalvo and Luis Gallo. This event is available only to Futuro+ members at the Campeón level. To join Futuro+ and gain access, visit futuromediagroup.org/joinplus.

“LOUD has become an essential record of culture—it’s the first comprehensive history of the genre in any medium, and ever since it went offline we’ve received countless messages asking for it to be brought back. And so we worked with Spotify to bring it back permanently for audiences to enjoy and learn from forever,” said Marlon Bishop, Co-CEO and executive director at Futuro Media, and executive producer of the podcast.

Since its original release, LOUD has generated a passionate following around the globe. Fans flooded social media, wrote passionate Reddit threads, and even launched petitions demanding the podcast’s return. After being temporarily unavailable, Futuro Media is thrilled to bring LOUD back to listeners by popular demand.

“As someone who grew up listening to reggaeton and Ivy Queen, working on this project was a dream to relive the magic of how it all got started. I loved hearing Ivy’s first hand account of the story all the while sound designing the episodes in fun and creative ways to really help those stories come to life for the listeners,” said Jeanne Montalvo, senior producer and sound designer for the podcast.
